Old Photo Thursday -- See a family resemblance?

Here is a picture of my mom and me a few months after I was born. Luke and my mom both think it looks a lot like Levi looks right now. Several people have told me that Levi favors me... including Luke's mom, our Pastor's wife and my grandma Williams. Well he IS my boy! :-)

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

Over the weekend Luke and I watched a couple of "my" movies. We use netflix, which we love and have been using since August 2005. It's convenient and cheap; it just works for us. What we try to do is alternate Luke's movie, my movie, Luke's movie, my movie... It doesn't always work--Luke has a lot more movies he wants to see than I do. But this weekend we watched two movies that I wanted to see...
The Good: Penelope
This movie was so good, in fact I can't believe how much I loved this movie. It was a whimsical modern day fairy-tale with a great plot, good message, wonderful character development, and excellent acting. It was just really well done when there are a lot of movies out there that are not. Rarely do I watch a movie and think, "I want to watch this movie over and over again." But I definitely came away thinking that and wanting to own the movie. [On a side note: This movie was made in 2004 but not released until 2006! It's now almost 2010 and I'm JUST NOW getting to see it! How did it fly under my radar for so long!?]
The Bad: The Proposal
I had high expectations for this movie and I was terribly disappointed. It had so much potential and just fell flat for me. It was very short and under developed, there were several scenes that added nothing to the progression of the movie--ie Oscar stripping in some random Alaskan bar... I just thought there was going to be more and when it was over I was left feeling cheated out of a good movie. However, I did laugh at a few parts, which is saying something, cause Luke will attest that even if I find a movie entertaining and funny I rarely laugh out loud.
The Ugly:
Last night, Levi was awake, smiling, laughing and chatting... at 3:00am. This went on for almost an hour. I was just so grumpy! I miss sleeping through the night. Many other new mothers I know are just ooh-ing over how well their babies sleep through the night. I've started to wonder if they are breastfeeding or formula feeding... cause my little man's longest stretch was only six hours when other people are talking 10 hours!? Needless to say, I'm not my prettiest when this happens, and I'm not talking physical appearance. I feel like I'm Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde! The good news is, he IS sleeping like 10 hours... just not continuously. We're working on it :-)

Levi is three months old today! He is a little chunk and I'm just loving watching him grow up. He has become quite chatty--babbling baby talk. Tomorrow I'll post a new video of his sweet little voice!
